Chapter XII
Bore Through My Skull
The bloody instruments, washed clean.
A shinny new hole in my head.
I feel better with this piece removed from my skull.
I’m not missing anything.
They won’t know the difference;
Once the new plate is put in place.
Looking in the mirror at the brain that was once hidden.
The stitches are clean,
the brain will heal,
the hole will be covered.
The burdens removed.
It was nothing medications would fix.
It was a hardware problem,
not the software.
Now I wish to reboot my soul.
